Blue Line occupies the historic AT&SF Freight House in downtown Colorado Springs. The property includes a warehouse, loading dock, 3 train cars, and track.

In September 2006, Blue Line purchased a 4,800-square-foot property located a few blocks from downtown Colorado Springs. The purchase included two box cars and an old passenger car that are still connected to a working rail line. Built in 1916, the property was originally the freight building for the AT&SF railroad, and Blue Line converted it into its current office and laboratory space.

About two-thirds of the property is devoted to the research and development side of the business, and additional benchtop work areas and storage space adjoin the main office building. With comprehensive environmental testing equipment, our lab is equipped to handle the complete research and design process for a variety of large hardware development projects, from the earliest concept design phases to final testing.

Blue Line maintains function specific work spaces:

  • State-of-the-art assembly lab with ESD, temperature & humidity control which exceeds requirements for a Class 10,000 clean room

  • Environmental Test Lab with multiple thermal test chambers, a thermal vacuum chamber, and a cryo-vacuum chamber

  • Optical Test Station with vibration isolated laser-interferometer

  • Tool and Prototyping workshop

  • Secure, conditioned storage for all electronic components
